An Objective Method for Forecasting the Weather of Taipei

Abstract

　　Based upon the differences of sea level pressures at a number of weather station-pairs along the coast of Southeast China, the Philippines and Western Pacific all surface weather maps of the Far East are divided into 25 types. Main features of each weather type are carefully selected and they are used as criteria for formulating an objective method for short-range weather forecasting.
　　Also, a digit system is developed that is used to compute the weather in accordance with degree of influence of each weather forecasting factor.
