A Synoptic Study on the Cyclongenesis and Cyclone Development in the Pacific Coastak Region of Asia

Abstract

　　In order to find out the synoptic conditions which related to the cyclongenesis and cyclone development, all the cyclones formed in the considered region in the months October through April, during the period from 1967 to 1980, are investigated. We found that most cyclongenesis take place in connection with certain synoptic features and limited in certain areas. This means that both synoptic and orographic conditions are very important as we make forecasting on the cyelongeenesis and cyclone development. Two parts are included in this report, in the first part all the general features of cyclongenesis are summarized. Then, in the second part, we use case studies which related to each region to confirm that all these features can be used as forecasting rules in the future.
