The Temperature Field on 850mb-level and Its Use in Short Range Forecast in Northern Taiwan

Abstract

　　By the use of 850mb-level temperature field in the Pacific Coastal Region of Asia, south of 30°N, in the winter months from 1965 to 1975, 18 scatter diagrams are constructed. Each diagram is separated into several regions depends on the probability of precipitation in the next 24 hrs of each related station. These Results, we found by evaluation, are useful for the short range weather forecast in Northern Taiwan.
