Introduction to the objective forceasting methods and verification

Abstract

　　The objective forecasting is currently employed by many meteorological authorities in the world. The techniques are mostly derived from statistical or empirical methods for single sta-tion to predict weather.

    In this paper, there are four methods to be introduced .They are

    (i)   Indices approach.        

    (ii)  Regression equation method.

    (iii) Graphical intergration method.

    (iv)  Graphical filtering method.

　　Finally, briefly verification technique is also explained. However do you understand when to use objective or subjective forecasting ? it may depend upon the weather situations and cli-Matology. An acceptable objective forecasting aid mnst have a physical basis, that is, neces-sary to consider initially what meteorological processes are operating.
