A Study on Practical Objective Forecast Method of Fog at CCK. AB.

Abstract

　　The advection-radiation fog occurs frequrntly due to the topography. The low clouds always move to this base and then transform to ground fog rapidly. Ground visibility may be changed from seven (7) miles to zero very shortly. It is hazardous to the flyiug safety. The purpose of this report is to make a through understanding of the fog at CCK. And try to find the best method for fog forecasting. This study is based on the base ground data during the cold season (Dec.-Apr.) from 1971 to 1977 including fog days. The time the fog starts appearing and last, sky condition, temperature,dew point difference and frequeucy. Analysing the cause of fog with the similar and earlier surface weather chart and Ma-Kung skew T log P in order to find the foreacasting rules and fog practical forecasting chart.therefore, We can predict the diversity if the fog occurred at CCK,by studying and evaluating this report. Thus, the exactness of forecasting also can be improved.
