Extratropical Cyclongenesis in the Pacific Coastal Region of Asia and its Influences on the Weather Conditions in Northern Taiwan

Abstract

   All the cyclongenesis we found in the considered region in the months October through April, during the period from 1967 to 1976, are summarized according to the following characteristics： 1. regional distribution, 2. monthly frequency, including monthly frequency of the whole area and that of each region, 3. displacement

in the first 21 to 18 hours. Some special pheomena are found after this summarization. The relations between cyclongenesis and the weather conditions which occured in Northern Taiwan are also investigated and summarized according to the regional distribution, the movement, and the intensity. The result is useful for the weather forecast of the related region.
