Study on Thunderstorm Occurrence and its Rainfall in China Area

Abstract

　　This survey deals with thunderstorms in China Mainland, Hainan and Taiwan from view point of statistics analysis. The authors describe the distribution of annual and seasonal thunderstorm days over the whole country. Several types of annual variation are presented. Thunderstorm statistics are also given for hourly occurrence, duration, average and maximum rainfall, and thunderstorm rainfall as a percentage, of total monthly rainfall, etc.            .
