Studv on the Characteristics of Thunderstorms and its Forecasting

in Mainland China and Taiwan

Abstract

　　This survey deals with thunderstorms in Mainland China and Taiwan from view point of synoptic analysis. A review of thunderstorm forecasting research is briefly introduced. Those predictors concerning thermal and frontal thunderstorms discussed. The authors recommend some of the techniques for forecasting various types or thunderstorms in this area.
