The Analysis on the Reasons of Heavy Rain Formation in South Taiwan

Abstract

　　To find the reasons of heavy rain formation in South Taiwan, statistical method is adopted on reviewing historical date of thunderstorm occurance, frontal passage and passing route of typhoons and tropical stroms. Basing on the data of past ten years. It is found that weather phenomena stated above have not only intimate relationship with precipitation amount, the location of exis of maximum winds on 700mb layer also is an unnegligible important factor to heavy rain condition.
