Based on the rawinsonde observation data taken from 1971 to 1974 at Taoyuan, Makung, and Tungkong, and the surface observation data taken in the same period at Sungshan, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Chin Chuan Kung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Pingtung S.B., and by use of the statistical and weather analysis methods, the objective forecast diagrams for each of the above mentioned seven surface stations have been obtained. By use of these diagrams, the probabilities of occurrence and nonoccurrance of thunderstorm and rainshower can be predicted more accurately.
