This research includes two parts, the objective analysis and model testing. Due to the lack of expenmental study of objective analysis and initilization in Taiwan, more emphasis, in the first year, is on the first part. In this report we present two types, each involves four different kinds, of objective analysises. The experimental result indicates that the best method is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u2206U=(W<sub>mf<\/sub>\u03a3W<sub>i<\/sub>(U<sub>f<\/sub>-U<sub>i<\/sub>)\/(\u03a3W<sub>i<\/sub>)<br>Where<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u2206U = Correction of first-approximation at grid points.<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000W<sub>mf<\/sub> = Maximum weighting factor.<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000W<sub>i <\/sub>= Weighting factors.<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000U<sub>f<\/sub> = Observed values.;\u3000\u3000U<sub>i<\/sub>= Estimated values of stations.<br>and<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000W = exp(-AD<sup>2<\/sup>\/R<sup>2<\/sup>); or W = (R<sup>2<\/sup> &#8211; D<sup>2<\/sup>)\/(R<sup>2<\/sup> + D<sup>2<\/sup>)<br>where<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000R = Sean radius.<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000D = Distance between the grid point and the related stations.<br>\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000A = An experimental constant.<br>\u3000\u3000In the second part of this report the procedues and results of 500mb prognostic contour charts which prepared by Limited Area Fine Mesh (LFM) model was presented.
