The Relationship Between the Small High Pressure of Kimmen and the Weather of Taipei

Abstract

 　　If whenever there is a small high pressure centered at Kimmen before a cold front in the surface weather chart, rainshowers or thunderstorms will occur in Taipei, and its vicinity after several hours. After analysing 14 cases, we found that there is a close relationship between this small high and the weather. Furthermore, if there is a reversed condition in temperature field, i.e., Taipei is warmer than Kimmen, the relationship will get closer. So, we bring up several results for the purpose of the terminal forecast.
