The Atmospheric Refraction to Radar Wave Transmitting Influence

Abstract

　　This report is intended to serve as a reference in radar meteorology for weather officers. Two parts are included: (1) A general description of the phenomenon of atmospheric refractivity; and (2) An introduction to the temperature, pressure, and humidity method for computing and manipulating the refractive index and its vertical gradient. The computational procedure, through an real data example, is also presented.
